If I have to say anything about this vacation… it’s that it’s too incredible for words. I travel to feel alive, to feel enriched, to experience something that I could never get in my day-to-day life. I received all of this. I have too many lasting memories for this trip to express. The one thing that I will always remember, are the amazing people I’ve met. I hope to remain in contact with all of them.
My favorite area that we visited would have to be Deception island. Everything about the area was cool. From hiking up the volcanic mountain, to the disheveled buildings, and rotting wooden structures. To standing on the shoreline in looking out at the towering mountains with snow as high as you can see, on all sides. It is just breath taking.
My favorite food would have to be at Inkanterra in Puerto Maldonado, Peru. That food was phenomenal. I still dream about it.
I can’t wait to see what the next adventure brings. Maybe Svalbard, 2017 and Australia, 2018? Who knows! This trip makes 6 of the 7 continents we’ve traveled to both together and separately… and there’s still so much to see.
