GOOD MORNING! Is there anything better than sleeping in AND not having to clean? I woke up well rested. The beds were extremely comfortable and soft. Before going to sleep I had dropped the temperature in the room to a brisk 65 degrees. I woke up feeling cozy under the covers. Jon grabbed us some coffee and a muffin for the morning, while I showered and started to pack. We spent the morning talking and listening to music. Around 11am, I headed downstairs to catch the shuttle back to the airport. Jon waited for his shuttle to the cruise ship. When we parted ways, I wished him a fun trip and waved goodbye.
The trip back to the airport was bland. If it wasn’t for the driver slamming on his brakes and throwing me into the seat in front of me I would have slept to the airport. After arriving and heading through security, I found a spot in the airport to grab some food. My flight wound up getting delayed for two hours due to an aircraft maintenance issue, so I called my parents. I spent a good hour talking to my parents about my trip and upcoming work activities. Finally, they start to board us.
My seat was next to a guy from Barbados. He’s a very funny, and kind guy about my age. He spent some time discussing his business plan and how his business has kicked off the ground over a few months period. We spent the whole trip on the way back talking about life in Barbados. When we arrived at our destination, he bowed politely and headed on his way. It was a wonderful way to end an awesome weekend away, before heading back to the reality of work, bills, and cleaning.
I would go back to Miami again, I think it’s a fun place to visit. I think anything more than two days is excessive though. Man, there are some great drinks there. I’ll be thinking of that trip for a while.
